A famous ‘free for all’ food fight in the streets of a Spanish village.

Tons of ‘over ripe’ tomatoes are used, more and more yearly, as visitor levels continue to increase. All supplied by the local government/council.

Tens of thousands of participants now attend (as many as 40.000 +). With the tomato-fest celebration lasting around a week with music, parades, dancing.

There are Fireworks, especially one show on the night before the Wednesday food fight itself. Along with a paella cooking contest.

They claim tomatos make the skin soft, but don’t try setting a visit against tax, as a medical expense!
