Jose Menor is one of the most promising pianists of the Spanish musical scene. Born in Sabadell, Joseph studied Piano, Composition and Conducting at the Conservatory of Music where, n’obtingué with distinction.

A major international musician, made his international debut at the age of fifteen, performing at Carnegie Hall in New York after getting the first prize in the youth category of The World Piano Competition in Cincinnati, USA .

Since its debut in the Palace of Catalan Music in 1996, winning First Prize in the series “Prime Palau” Jose has developed an extensive concert activity.

As a soloist he has performed in Spain with the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra (CBO) and Eiji Oue; with the RTVE Orchestra, has also played in Barcelona with the National Youth Orchestra of Catalonia, the Vallès Symphony Orchestra and Uwe Mund in the Palace of Catalan Music, among other appearances, and out of Spain has performed with orchestras in the United Kingdom, United States (California, Florida) and Caribbean (Cuba, Colombia, Chile, Mexico) and Europe, including a return to the United Kingdom playing Bach concertos with the Orchestra da Camera in Birmingham.

To close the VIII International Music Festival “Midnight Music” Sitges have a concert repertoire of Catalan chronological and stylistic range, from the classicism of the Padre Soler to contemporary music and Guinjoan Casablancas, through nationalism Albéniz and Granados.

Concerts of Mitjanit

Greensound Sitges is a new platform for dissemination to bands or individual performers to experience the first feelings on stage before the public. Sitges GreenSound wants to promote and disseminate the musical culture allowing for different musical styles and enjoy them at live shows.

Sitges GreenSound sounds: Blues, Bosanova, Popular Song, Classical, opera and vocal classical, Country, Dixie, Folk, Jazz, Latin, Opera, Jam Band, reggae, Salsa, Samba, Soul, Swing, Tango, others …

Music is culture, heritage, history and wealth, we understand from the Port d’Aiguadolç Cultural Foundation.

The best national and international artists come together each summer concerts at Midnight, with proposals of great prestige and cultural value for everyone. A proposal by the classical and contemporary music that gives space for national and international acclaimed artists, along with young talent. Midnight Music has never ceased to walk and has evolved to become a more diverse festival, from the sound that evokes classic tunes to cool.

Differentiation is the prestige it brings and that’s why concerts at Mitjanit (Midnight) has opted more for the quality of its performers. So over the years and could see very great national and international musicians who have delighted in his concerts. Great figures of the scenes have brought and will bring their art to Midnight Music.

The Festival program is made up of exclusive concerts held in the Palau Maricel, a small room capacity to create a unique atmosphere in Spain. And the concerts of the entrance to the port of Aiguadolç space bounded by the sea, creating a magical environment to enjoy live music.
